Bowl with "ear" handle, Faïencerie de Pornic

In Brittany, people don't drink from cups. They drink from a handled bowl, held in the palms of their hands, in the morning, unhurriedly.

These are hand-painted, one by one, at Faïencerie de Pornic. The couple in traditional costume, the yellow line encircling the bowl: each line is drawn with a brush. That's why no two bowls are perfectly alike, and that's why yours is yours.
